I created maildomain in /etc/mail/sendmailvars
maildomain nssf.af.mil
This made my header look like this:
From: ingersoc@nssf.af.mil
So I guess I needed more so I played with sendmail.cf . I made the following
changes.
###################################
#
# General configuration information
..
# Example:
# DmCS.Podunk.EDU
# Cm cs cs.Podunk.EDU
# My old config
#Dwnssf.af.mil
#Dmnssf.af.mil
Dmnssf.af.mil # My domain name
Dwfalcon.nssf.af.mil # My FQDN
So now the header reads:
From: ingersoc@falcon.nssf.af.mil
Now did I really fix the problem or just find a work around that I will
regret later? My thanks to all that replyed.
