Hello,
My original posting asked why I wasn't able to either mount or
automount a filesystem after I installed SunOS 4.1.4. I was
getting an RPC error.
Many people pointed out the problem: I didn't have any nfsd running
and also my rpc.mountd wasn't running. This was due to the fact that
after installing my SunOS 4.1.4, I recreated the /etc/exports file
and didn't reboot. After I rebooted, the problem went away.
Thanks to many, many kind souls who responded. I didn't save their
mailings because I wasn't going to post a SUMMARY since it was such
a stupid mistake. However, since one person asked me to share my
finding, I thought I should do so.
