I only received one response, which was to call Lexmark Technical Support.

However, I was able to solve my problem before having to take the above path.
For model type I selected "dumb". My biggest problem turned out to be the
actual cable, pins two and three were switched around. Here is the number
of the cable I found that was able to work : 755-2367-956 Rev. C .
