Problem:
Getting only garbage when connecting terminal to serial A/B
port as console... seemed like baudrate mis-match.
Solution:
Duh. A "standard" NULL modem cable is needed (pin-outs below).
At first I was using a straight-through cable, and since I was getting
garbage in response to carriage returns, it seemed like this was
on the right track. However, now I think this has more to do
with all lines being connected to an A/B serial port than to
pins 2 & 3 not being swapped.
(I really hate being "fooled".) My breakout box is in the trash
and a new one is on order!
