Hello dear Sun Managers:

Thr origininal question was:

Hello Sun Managers:
I have a problem. I have one
NIS Master Server and one NIS Slave Server. I configured them
apparently without problems, but since the Slave Server is
working, when I modify the /etc/aliases file i get the next
messages in the screen when I do a make:
urano# make
updated passwd
pushed passwd
updated group
pushed group
11 aliases, longest 125 bytes, 528 bytes total
/usr/etc/yp/mkalias /var/yp/`domainname`/mail.aliases /var/yp/`domainname`/mail.byaddr;
rm /var/yp/`domainname`/mail.aliases;
updated aliases
No response from ypxfr on gea
pushed aliases
updated netid
pushed netid
updated auto.home
pushed auto.home
urano#
Does some one of you what is
happening with it ?
Thanks in advance.

The problem was that the aliases map did not exist on my slave server. What I did was to ftp it from the master server and it started working fine.
