My original posting on Mon, 31 Oct 94:
The following appears on some of our SunOS 4.1.3_U1 clients:
rpc.lockd: monitor entry not found for "earth",
request is not monitored.
earth being an NFS server running SunOS 4.1.3. No entry is
found in /etc/sm on the affected clients. Rebooting the clients
does not help. Everything seems to work in spite of it.
Dan Lorenzini was concerned about rpc.lockd's version difference
between the server and the clients and suggested to apply the
highest version of 100075 to the server. I went one step further
by upgrading the server's OS to 4.1.3_U1 and all has been fine.
