I asked:

Does anyone know if autofs is a legitimate alternative to automounter
on SunOS 4.1.3?

I asked hoping that Sun had back-ported some fixed automounter problems
(autofs) stuff back to 4.1.3.

SUMMARY:

        autofs is only avail on Solaris 2.X
        amd is vastly preferred to automounter on 4.1.3 (this, I knew already)
