Hello,
We had to increase the number of the pseudo devices but couldn't. The
solution of this problem is to set the variable pt_cnt in /etc/system:
set pt_cnt=<value>
Don't follow the book Solaris 2.3 Administering Security, Performance,
and Accounting. It states, that you have to set this variable by
set tune:pt_cnt=<value>
IT DOESN'T WORK.
Finally, you HAVE to reboot by 'boot -r' to force the system to rebuild
the /dev and /devices directories.
Many thanks to
Colin Campbell <sgcccdc@citec.qld.gov.au>
who helped me to find the 'boot -r' trick.
Best regards,
Jozsef Kadlecsik
