The answer for SunOS 4.1.x (which is what I'm running -- sorry that I
forgot to mention it) is:
By default, it is partition b on the boot device. This can be changed by
modifying a config file in /usr/kvm/sys/`uname -m`/conf/.
The answer for Solaris 2.3 is to run `/etc/swap -l'
