SUMMARY: Upgrading a server to 4.1.3_U1B

I asked if there was a quicker way of upgrading a NIS and NFS server
machine from SunOS 4.1.3_U1 to 4.1.3_U1B than a complete new
installation of SunOS. I needed 4.1.3_U1B for an SS5.

Someone suggested using sunupgrade (see below) but it seems the whole
issue is moot anyway since...

I was wrong. I ran the `showrev' program which told me that I have
4.1.3_U1B on the SS5. Should've tried this before, I guess...

Alas, the SS5 still doesn't run, so I'm going to post another question
soon :-(

PS: The useful information about upgrading the server follows:

Jochen Bern <bern@penthesilea.Uni-Trier.DE> told me this:

Jochen> You can either try to do a regular Upgrade (sunupgrade) or
Jochen> assign a temporary Server while you're setting up the real
Jochen> one. I tried both. The regular Upgrade gave me Lists of
Jochen> what Files he considered changed compared to a plain Vanilla

Jochen> my B*tt when the SS2 Clone we wanted to use as a Server

  Jochen> had bought.

He also told me that running `uname -a' doesn't tell me anything
(about the OS being rev A or rev B, that is). This was seconded by
Mike <drechsau@winternet.com>.

Thanks for your quick help!
