I want to thank all those who replied. In order to make the HP 35470A
4mm DAT operate with a SPARC 2 running SunOS 4.1.3, you need to do one
thing, set dip switches 6, 7, and 8 to off. To get the 2-Gbyte
capacity of the a 90 m tape, the following values can be used for the
dump command:

/etc/dump 0funcbds /dev/nrst9 126 2250 9000 filesystem
