SUN IS SUPPORTING 4/470 4/490 for Solaris 2.x

I have just been contacted by sun telemarketing. There was a mixup in the
information I got from sun support and my account rep. The
ie-Ethernet-driver/Intel-chip ARE supported by Sun in the normal
configuration for the SparcServer 4/470-4/490 series; those with an Intel
enet chip on the mother board. In the past they sold a separate card for
the VME bus that has been discontinued and I inadvertently got the
information for that configuration. Sun Telemarketing picked up my
posting to the sun-managers list and quickly got things straightened
out

Sun sez we have an out-of-rev mother board and our collisions will go away
if we come up to rev. Novadyne, our hardware supporter, is coming tomorrow
with new cards for all nodes that might be out of rev.
