I got quick answers and now the problem is solved.

It showed that rdist can't deal any output occuring through logging
on the host machine. I got several replies giving the right hint. Here

I found a distribution of rdist on the net, the rdist-6.0.0 and the
rdist-6.1beta.2 . It is available by many sites. Ask archie for the
nearest. This rdist is improved and has several more features compared
to the rdist distributed with the SUN-OS.
