Hello,
my question was: shall we upgrade our old 4/470 to a 4/670 or a SparcServer10.
All recommended for: SparcServer10 25:0 (if you compare the same cpu power)
Advantages for 670: the VME boards,
IPI disks
expandable to 1GB (SS10 only :-) to 512 MB)
Advantages for SS10: this series will continue, the 6xx will disappear soon
cheaper
smaller if you don't mind having the SCSI disks aside
Since we use only SCSI disks, have no VME boards and very likely do not need
1GB memory we will either go with the SS10 and have a look (as a lot
recommended) to the SparcServer1000 (this would imply Solaris 2.x, OOPS) if its not to expensive.
