SUMMARY - Printer Sharing between Sun and Apple MAC hardware

I would like to thank all those that took the time and effort to respond to my recent request for information about printer sharing between Sun and MAC systems.

We currently use TOPS to share the Apple laserwriter printers with sun users, using the TOPS ascii conversion. TOPS will also pass postscript formatted documents without any reformatting. As SUN (aka SITKA ) announced no more upgrades for TOPS I can expect their support level to "assume the position" soon. We use both transcript and NewSprint to format files for printing.
