Sorry for the _long_ delay of this summary, I've been away from work.
Thanks to Steve.Senator@central.sun.com (Steve Senator), who was the
only one to actually answer (there was one more message, a request for info).
However, it turned out that the disks PROM was at a bad version (8P).
Replacing it (to 10J) solved the problem. Fujitsu promptly answered
the local dealer, who was also prompt in replacing the PROMS.
