Hello,
Last week I sent in a problem regarding running SunPC V3, after
upgrading to 4.1.3. I was getting 2 error messages. It turns out
that one of the errors was not from SunPC:
> When I execute sunpc at the command line, I get the following errors on
> the command line:
>
>---------------------------------------------------------------------------
> ld.so: libxview.so.3: not found
>---------------------------------------------------------------------------
This error message was actually from Unigraphics, and it was for this error
that I got responses. I was told to:
1) Look for "libxview.so.3.*". I had been looking for a file
called "libxview.so.3", which doesn't exist. In my case the
library was under /usr/openwin/lib.
2) Set the environment variable, LD_LIBRARY_PATH, so that it includes
the directory with the above library. More details on this variable
can be found in the Man page for "ld".
This fixed my problems with Unigraphics (Thank You!).
The other message did come from sunpc:
> When I try to execute sunpc from the OpenWindows pop-up menu, I get the
> following message in my console:
>
>---------------------------------------------------------------------------
> Graphics processor restarted after time limit exceeded.
> You may see display garbage because of this action.
>---------------------------------------------------------------------------
I did not get any responses for this message. However, I put in a trouble
call to sun and was told to check the special installation instructions for
a GS workstation, which are oddly in the User Manual, not the Installation
Manual.
