The responses fell into four catagories - disable sunview support, run
ldconfig, check the LD_LIBRARY_PATH variable and reboot the machine.
Disabling sunview support won't work since I also need to run a sunview
application. In my case, a reboot was sufficient. I managed to get
all the stuff I needed loaded up on the machine (quite a task) within
the allotted time.

Even though I know I sound like a broken record, this list is great! Thanks
