SUMMARY: sendmail rejects valid addresses

The problem appears to be a bug in sendmail that is related to the frozen
sendmail configuration file and dynamic libraries.

Suggested solutions were

        1) remove /etc/sendmail.fc
        2) don't invoke sendmail until after ldconfig has been run
        3) install Sun patch 100377-05

Going route 3), I installed the patch on our 670MP and when it crashed later
that day :-) it came up with sendmail running fine.
