SUMMARY: Problem with vi after restoring /usr

Once again, I got many (correct) anwsers in a very short
time. The problem was that vi (and ex) would dump core
after I had swapped the disk with /usr and had to restore
the partition. I got basically two responses, check the
libraries in /usr/5lib, and the termcap/terio stuff in
/usr/share.

It turns out that the libraries in /usr/5lib were fine.
The 'feature' that I had added, was actually a subtraction.
The two machines used to have /usr/share locally. When I
rebuilt the system, replacing the orginal disks by smaller
ones, I did not replace the /usr/share filesystem, planning
to automount it from elsewhere. Weeeeeeell, I hadn't gotten
around to changing the automount entries, once I did, life
(vi) was wonderful again.

So much for planning.

Thanks again to everyone who answered.
