AARGGG! It seemed that my /etc/inetd.conf file was accidently overwritten by
the previous one.

The following line installed by openwin_install is importand:

100083/1 stream rpc/tcp wait root /usr/openwin3/bin/rpc.ttdbserverd \
rpc.ttdbserverd

Somehow it worked, but slower and more unreliable.

Grep for tt in inet.conf to make sure the tooltalk stuff was
installed.

I have also noticed the cut/copy/paste problem, but it only has a
problem if the mouse is not in the window where the selection was made
when I try to do the cut/copy. If I forget, I just move the pointer
back to the window (not just over the selection) and try the cut/copy
again.

-----

That cut and paste probem remains there, and as I remember, OW2 behaves
different with cut&paste operations
( you can be anywhere on the screen to put a selection in a paste buffer )

There seems to be an update for the Island Graphics productivity tools for OW3
So I focus on that and call my Island sales rep.

Thanx all who replied. ( sorry , I didn't record all mail senders )
