And the answer is "YES" - it is possible to replace the damn optical
mouse with one with balls. It will be my pleasure to trade my seeing
(i.e. optical) with one that I have to clean every April 1st when those
jokesters at IBM send out detailed instructions via e-mail on how to
clean my mouse's balls. Also found out that the plural of "computer mouse"
is "computer mouses".
By far, the most popular choice to replace the optical mouse was Logitech.
They have a three button mouse and can be reached at 800-999-8849,
510-795-8500, or faxed at 510-792-8901. One source that was given
was the Qualix Group, Pikai Chang's comment was to make sure that
I asked for my free mouse pad.
Thanks again to all that replied.
