Funny. I talked to Maxtor support today, and they gave me the following
format.dat entry:
disk_type = "Maxtor LXT213SY" \
: ncyl = 1485 : acyl = 2 : pcyl = 1487 : nhead = 7 : nsect = 40 \
: rpm = 3600 : bpt = 20480
This should give greater capacity than the format entry you describe
above. I haven't tried it yet, as my drive hasn't arrived yet. If
anyone cares, I'll let you know whether my numbers work after I try it.
