SUMMARY: Remote DUMP problems

My original question was :

Why was I getting the following error when running a remote
        dump:

                ...
DUMP: Change Volumes: Mount volume #2
                DUMP: fopen on /dev/tty fails
DUMP: The ENTIRE dump is aborted

The answer as I suspected came from

        Ray Brownrigg (ray@isor.vuw.ac.nz)

Who said :

The only work-around is to rlogin to machine_B then issue the rdump
directly. Dump, being interactive, insists on having a tty to provide
input when it asks for another tape.
------

 Thank You.
