TRANSCRIPT/Sun3/Laserwriter [SUMMARY]

Last week I asked the following:

-------
When I start lpd and try to print, I get a logfile full of this:
psbanner: can't open .bannerpsbanner: can't open .bannerpsbanner: can't open .ba
nnerpsbanner: can't open .bannerpsbanner: can't open .bannerpsbanner: can't ope
-------

I got a number of replies, most of which pointed to permissions on the
spool directory. The bottom line is that 'daemon' has to have write
priveleges to /usr/spool/printer_name.

Thanks to all who replied:
