Thanks to all who helped me locate sources for trackballs for an IPC.
As I promiced, here is a summary of the email I received.

The Qualix Group sells the Trackman. $139. Contact them.

Logitech makes a TrackMan for the Sun 4. I found it in an Inmac catalog (1-800-323-6905) costs $139. There may be some others out there.

Logitech sells a "TrackMan" -- a gizmo upon which your hand rests and the ball is manipulated with your thumb. There are three buttons which fall under your "mouse fingers".

You want one? We have one that we were looking at for someone, and he hated it -- so it's gathering dust in the back room. Look around...offer me a good price. I don't know the current "going" price for the TrackMan.

{ My company will only spring for a new one. Sorry. --Lyle } ---

We have mouse-trak trackballs on all our equipment (Sun, SGI, Mips, IBM). Costs around $129 or so I think. I wouldn't trade mine for anything.

I have no relation to Itac, just a satisfied customer.

I'm using a "mouse-trak" track ball on my Tatung (SPARC workstation) from ITAC Systems of Garland Texas. I don't know what the price is, but it's a pretty nice unit, and an enormous win over the stupid optical mouse that Sun (and clone vendors) ship.

Give 'em a call (call information to get their number).

Give MicroSpeed a call. Their trackball is pretty good, but their sales reps are a bit persistant.
