There seemed to be some confusion about my recent request for a
format.dat entry for a Fuji M2266S/H disk. Several persons set
format.dat entries for the 2266SA, which has slightly fewer cylinders
and a few more sectors. Are Japanese disk makers out to emulate 50s
American car makers? It sure looks that way. :-(
It appears that a workable format.dat for the 2266S/H is:
disk_type = "Fujitsu 2266S/H"\
: ctlr = MD21 \
: ncyl = 1703 : acyl = 2 : pcyl = 1705 : nhead = 15 : nsect = 82 \
: rpm = 3600 : bpt = 50910
One person pointed out that Fujitsu has a BBS at 408-944-9899.
However I did not try it.
