It would appear that there was a small change in the syntax of the config
line in the Kernel configuration files (/usr/sys/sun3/KERNEL) between 4.0.3
and 4.1.1 (somewhere).
Under 4.0.3 the syntax was
config vmunix root on type nfs swap on sd0b
Under 4.1.1 the syntax is
config vmunix root on type nfs swap on type spec sd0b
^^^^^^^^^
Opinion seems to have it that Sun's documentation is wrong (somewhere) about
this line.
It works just fine.
