Got numerous responses telling me to use netstat with -a option, but
don't see how to get process number from that. Got another suggestion
to use netstat and ps together, which looks reasonable, and got a nice
hacked version of ofiles from vik@fine (A. Dupuy's mod to ofiles program)
that does exactly what I want, printing the files and sockets associated
with given processes. (Sorry, I blasted vik's full mail address, but
happy to give program to anyone who wants it.)
Thanks to all whom responded,
Andrew
